Our Story
Optimal was launched in 2014 with the goal of helping nonprofits optimize the way they received donations. That mission brought back together three friends and colleagues who had helped first bring non-cash payments into the fast-food industry in the early 2000’s. Helping nonprofits was a great way to use our expertise to do something that mattered and bring some light into what we considered to be a pretty confusing and “dark-gray” payments industry. Another thing that excited us was all of the technology that had come into the industry and cost-saving best-practices that most organizations were unaware of. We believed that if we charged less and helped more, in the long run we would be more profitable, “referable” and have clients for life.
Today, Optimal serves businesses, municipalities and nonprofits throughout the US and in Canada. Our focus is on helping organizations with $5M-75M in revenues lower their credit card fees by as much as 50%. We’re always happy to help any size organization optimize their processing right from the start and are grateful to say that almost all of our clients have come from referrals from customers and other professional services providers.
